The second volume of our monthly playlist is full of jazzy beats and tunes. Urban Jazz is a 30-song selection of jazz-infused music from a great range of genres and styles.

Urban Jazz starts with the homonym song by the Manchester-born-with-Angolan-roots female singer and rapper IAMDBB which sets the tone of a melodic and Lo-Fi Hip-Hop, Jazz and Electronic oriented playlist.

The selection goes on with a great opening sequence containing tracks by DJ Mitsu, The Beats, Jazz Liberatorz, Bella Wagner, DJ Cam Quartet, Gramatik and Fold.

One of its highlights is the solid and smooth alternation between emerging artists and music legends such as Herbie Hancock, Madlib, Bonobo, and J Dilla, always lead by Jazz influences and textures.

After a great bunch of Jazz Hip-Hop beats, Urban Jazz finishes with Jazz-inspired experimental and electronic tunes by artists such as Mndsgn, Comfort Fit, and Thibaut Renou.

As one of our first listeners described it, “listening to this Playlist is like listening to Jazz made by martians after listening to some Boombap”. We hope you like it!
